This hike will take you along a section of the Shenipsit Lake Reservoir Trail System. It was a shorten hike because of a thunderstorm. The trail continues up along the lake and even further. There are some blue blazes, but the trail is pretty well used, so it is easy to follow. According to the signage, you are not supposed to leave the trail at all. There are a couple of places where you can get down to the lake for a view. A very nice bridge has been constructed over a major creek inflow. I suspect during the wet season that you would have to jump over some flowing water, but no big problem. We were GEOCaching, so that added that much more to the hike. There was a sign at the entrance which stated "no bikes". There is no real parking area; you must just pull off the road to park. Be careful of the traffic on the main road. Happy trails to all!
